How Do You Know When A Boy Likes You Or Still Does?

Ok. Well I broke up with this boy that I liked a few months ago. We still talk and laugh and we are just friends. But everyone keeps saying that he's obsessed with me and can't stop talking to me. I don't think its true cause he even told me he doesn't have feelings for me anymore and i don't like him. He still gives me compliments like he did when we were dating but how do I know if he still likes me!! UGHH
