Don't skip meals. Eat 5/6 small portions sized meals throughout the day. When you skip meals you body thinks it's starving and will horde the food you DO eat as fat thus making you gain weight. Check how many calories you should be getting to maintain your weight and then take 20% of that, subtract it from your maintenance level, and it will show the amount of calories you need to lose weight. As scary as it sounds, taking in calories is very important when trying to lose weight.
