Ughh what should I do?

We were really close to dating, and I broke it off with him before things got too serious. But I realized he had a girlfriend the day before I broke up with him without even realizing it and now I feel so stupid. I now realize I've got some serious feelings for him, and now he's got this gorgeous girlfriend. :\
