What Does the verifying status mean on gamestop ?

I ordered WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 and Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and everytime I get online to see if the status is updated its stuck on verifying. Can anybody help me out by telling me what this means ?
