What to say to my fiancee? He is hating basic?

My man is @ Ft Benning right now in recption for the 6th day & he called me today & sounded terrible :( He is bored s**tless in there & says everyone is acting like '9th grade frat boy retards'. It sounds like he is having 2nd thoughts about the whole army thing....I tried to stay positive & tell him basic will be better than reception b/c he'll be doing more & not be so bored, but i don't even know if thats true...i was just trying to cheer him up. He is stuck there for another 4 days too (ft benning osut for 11x infantry). What can I say to him? Will it get better after reception? Is it normal for guys to feel like this....like they made a bad decision going into it?
