Okay, so I know how you feel and all, but its wrong to do this. You need to tell your mother and apologize for getting the chips. I can understand how you don't want your mother to be mad at you especially if she is strict. My mom is VERY strict and would kill me. But wouldn't you feel better if you just came clean. You may also get sick and then your mom would have to find out. Don't eat the chips! It would be bad for your health! Of course your mom will be mad, but if you come clean and apologize she wouldn't be as mad and may even be proud of you for doing the right thing! And she only gets mad because she worries for you and wants your life to be as easy as possible. I LOVE strawberries, but I force myself not to eat them because they burn my insides. I think that my dad abuses our family dog?

so me and my dad have been arguing over this pretty much every time it comes up. For example today, the dog jumps up on the table and eats 2 raw hamburgers. My dad then runs over to him after I get him off of the counter, take his body (he is a golden retreiver btw) slap is butt so that it makes a hard sound, during this my dog is starting to try to get away then throws him outside and down the stairs (which is about 4 steps steep). Then he goes inside and gets some soap and squirts it in his mouth. I hate it when he does this and it is not the first time he has done something like it. this scars me and makes myself and the rest of my family feel bad for the dog. While my dad is at work my dog (teddy) will still jump up on the counter, and try to get food, but when this happens we will just spray him with some water or bitter apple spray. i know we (myself, mom, brother and sister) are at fault as well for not following through with his punishment but my point is just that my dads approach is not succesfull (because he has continued to jump up) yet he believes it is. My dad thinks that it is ok for our dog to be afraid of him, whereas i think he should respect him. Do you think what my dad is doing is okay??

Where should we go for our next duty station?

We are Army, and my hubby is stationed in Korea and we are located at Ft Eustis. We may actually get to choose our next duty station, and I was just hoping to find out about other duty stations from people who have been there. We have a 2 year old, and a baby on the way, so we are hoping to go somewhere that has things to do that are either free or cheap, and somewhere that is not too cold or blisteringly hot. We fell in love with this area because of the weather, beaches, things to do, and friendly people. Please let me know your opinions on stations such as Fort Carson, Fort Benning, Fort Campbell, Fort Lee, Fort Stewart, Fort Hood, and any other you may have liked. We have been stationed here and at Fort Drum already. We'd rather not go back to Fort Drum. Any ideas, or warnings?

Cant u be stationed with the 101st right out of basic?

i leave for basic june 12, 2012 (fort benning 11x) im a DEP. i was just wondering if you can be sent to the 101st right out of basic training. I know that it is a air assault unit but i heard that some people can be sent there right outa basic and then the 101st will send them to air assault later. let me know if anyone knows any details on this. oh yeah and i do want to go to the 101st. i had a brother who was in it and i went down and visited him and like it. i would ask him but he was killed in afghanistan over a year ago.

Are there different expectations for E4's in OSUT?

Everyone wears their rank in basic. And you can mention your college degree. The thing is military experience. Sure, you may be a little more experienced in life than some, but infantry knowledge you know as much as they do. No higher expectations will be put on you, unless you prove to the DS that you can handle responsibility. Now having been through more schooling you might be able to learn faster and retain more information than your run of the mill 18 year old. Good luck in basic. When you get there, 30th AG, the reception battalion, is the worst thing you'll ever experience. So when you're sitting out in the rain in a foxhole during your FTX, you can remember at least your not at 30th AG. Hahaha. But seriously, good luck.

I am shipping to BCT September 19th to Fort Benning?

I want to know what are the physical demands? I can do 45 straight push ups no problem i can do 50 sit ups straight and the fastest i ran 2miles in my life was today 28 mins now that's while taking little breaks in between but if i ran it straight out it would be less but i have a good while before basic i no i need stress cardio but am i good on everything else? Also when i went to my recruiter for the very first time i was 254 then when i went to MEPS I was 248 and right now I am 230 is my weight acceptable? Im not fat im a pretty muscular guy but im not saying im in perfect shape because i no im not my all i have been doing is running i cut down on working the muscles out i even it out now

The New Army OCS and moving to Benning?

my DH (active duty) was just selected at his local board for OCS. I think his class will start next summer. I know there are a lot of changes made to OCS that either have just started or are just about to start. My kids and I would like to move to Benning to be near him (he's currently deployed and will JUST be getting back when his class is supposed to start) We are currently stationed in Hawaii so I don't know if they will PCS us because we are OCONUS. I am staying in Florida during the deployment which isn't far from Benning so I would be willing to move us up there....but I'm reading that they don't get passes anymore? Is it worth it? We will have been apart sooo long already I can't stand the thought of being apart that much longer, even if we only see him at church on Sunday. Advice?

Trying to shed pounds. what am i doing wrong?

Don't skip meals. Eat 5/6 small portions sized meals throughout the day. When you skip meals you body thinks it's starving and will horde the food you DO eat as fat thus making you gain weight. Check how many calories you should be getting to maintain your weight and then take 20% of that, subtract it from your maintenance level, and it will show the amount of calories you need to lose weight. As scary as it sounds, taking in calories is very important when trying to lose weight.

When will I find out my first duty station if I volunteer for airborne during OSUT?

I did not include airborne school in my contract but am almost sure I can volunteer in basics from what I hear from other Active duty soldiers. I am going Infantry at Fort Benning, Georgia on July 6th. I want to go to airborne school so that I can increase my chances of being stationed at Fort Bragg with 82nd airborne. Ft. Bragg is closer to home which makes me readily available to be there for my family in case of an emergency. (family medical issues) Thanks for your input!

This was an awesome match. One of the best id say we've seen in the a long time! I think the best aspect was the crowd involvement (FOR ONCE)... not that its the crowds fault that the wwe sucks. Why is there no record of any polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fat on the bag of my almonds?

hello i have a bag of southern grove dry roasted unsalted almonds from ALDI and it tells me it has 16g of fat 1g saturated but it doesnt tell me the monounsaturated and the polyunsaturated fats like my other bag i had of RAW natural almonds from southern Grove ALDI did why is that? does anyone know the nutritional info for fat in this stuff? if so please help :) thanks

Will a raw fruit/veggie or juice detox help get birth control out of my system?

I only got 2 depo shots and three months after the last one started to try to conceive. It's been over a year now, half the time spent getting my "cycle" every other week and half the time with no "cycle" at all but negative pregnancy tests. i have a lazy eye its my left eye,its not fixable.i went to meps and i cheated on the eye exam when i put my head in the eye exam machine i just turned my head a little and read off the letters using only my right eye.i was wondering if they use an eye chart or the same eye exam machine as they do at meps......im deploying to fort benning Georgia if that makes any diff plzzz help me out thanks

They can have a tiny bit of raw meat, but that can't be a staple diet. They need veggies too, that is important, especially for a young turtle. And don't feed them earthworms either, wild caught stuff can carry diseases or parasites.

Upper, right back pain shoots around to my right side under my arm to my breast?

For the past 2 weeks or so, I have had this horrible pain in the upper, right part of my shoulder/back that wraps around my right side under my arm pit and goes to my right breast. It itches and feels numb when I scratch it and the itch never goes away. It is a constant pain and nothing I do seems to help alleviate the pain. My breast has become so sensitive as well. When I walk and my arm rubs up against it, the only way I can describe it is that the area feels raw. There is nothing at the surface of the skin such as a rash, bumps, etc. It DOES NOT feel like muscle pain. It is sensitive to the touch. It is driving me crazy!!! Any suggestions? I really don't want to have to go to the doctor...

Okay so my boyfriend of 3 years (18 years old) just left for army basic training at Fort Benning.I'm 17 and i support his decisions fully.I will always stay by his side. Ok so I started the enlistement process back in like november 2010 in a town about 100 miles outside of phoenix with a recruiter there.. finally got through meps and finished my contract and swore in in late feb. Shipping august 29 ft benning. Since then, over three months ago, my recruiter has not contacted me once. And when I try to get ahold of him he never answers or returns my calls.. and I now live in phoenix and am too far to just pop into his office. So basically im woundering if while on DEP can I just go to an office down here to get help from a recruiter who is actually doing his job correctly.. The platoon is something your husband will have to tell you unless 21 has something to do with it, I just graduated from BCT at FLW (females aren't allowed to go to Benning for basic) and the rooster number was only used when we were in the reception battalion and for some of our paperwork for gear that we were issued. The platoon number was not given out right away and for our company if someone in another platoon knew which platoon you were in they just brought the mail over to you at the end of the day, I'm sure he will tell you ... the 21 could also be his unit # if it's not listed elsewhere o n the paper .

Meat Thermometer & Crock Pot?

I have a basic meat thermometer (plain old dial kind - not digital). I am going to cook my first WHOLE chicken in a crock pot and I want to make sure that it reaches the proper temperature & that I don't pull it out raw. I'll try to answer this with some common sense.Where a unit's home base is really has no bearing on combat losses. It is where they end up in a combat zone, or happen upon in a combat zone, that causes losses. One day it could be the 3rd getting beat up, tomorrow it will be the 2nd. The enemy doesn't go after you because those guys are from the 3rd Bn, lets shoot more of them today. Now it could be rotations but look, take the weather into account if you will but if you think your chances of survival are greater or less in one unit over the other that is a roll of the dice. The 3rd Bn got beat up this time, who is to say when you get to the 2nd they aren't gearing up to head straight for the same grid zone the 3rd just left? My whole company spent four months in one area, our replacement company lost four guys in the first week after we left, you just never know and it had nothing to do with "they were from Carson and we were from Stewart." Pick the family and weather thing that suits you best and hope for the best when you land in Afghanistan.

I am in the Georgia Army National Guard and am graduating from AIT at Fort Lee, Virginia in about 2 weeks. I have been assigned to a unit at Fort Benning, GA. It is the 82nd CRC. Ideas on what to feed my 1 yr old for lunch?

okay so he is 14 months old. and he has a very very picky 3 year old big brother. he and his brother eat really good for me for breakfast, and he's easy to feed for dinner because he normally eats what we eat. but i normally don't sit down and eat lunch with them, my 3 year old only has certain foods that he will eat for lunch, and i don't want my 1 year old being picky like that. and i don't want to feed him the same things every single day.. so far what i do feed him is things like, halves of ham/ turkey sandwiches, he loves grilled cheeses, chicken nuggets, all sorts of vegetables but so far i am scared to feed him raw veggies as he doesn't have all of his teeth yet, he loves fruit and i try to mix that up, he loves yogurt, but he gets fruit and yogurt some times for breakfast along with his cereal or whatever..... i thought i would ask you guys about what you feed your little ones for lunch every single day? he has also gotten in to this phase where he thinks its funny to toss his food over the side of the highchair and so more is ending up in the floor and then in the trash then is ending up in his tummy.. i just want to try and fix stuff that i know he will love to eat. he's a great eater and i want to continue to build on that, but i am afraid if i feed him what the 3 year old eats all of the time he will also grow to be picky.. thanks..

last session i passed basic 5, the coach said after next session i'd probably be basic 8. then two weeks ago i asked my private lesson coach and she agreed, saying i could pass basic 8. evluation day comes and my coach is not there. i get evaluated by another coach. this coach only tests me on basic 6. im very angry now. i txt my coach and tell her bc i was only tested on six i think i only passed six and she says 'ooh thats normal maybe you just need more lessons per week and more practice! you can do it!" & i respond "but you told me i could pass basic 8..lol" and she doesnt answer. mind you- i take a private lesson, a group lesson, and practice atleast 5x a week. so now im pissed so my dad calls the rink saying the girl only tested me on 6. the director says ooh its okay youre coach will do the evaluation so im like pheww. ill be freestyle. i ge the results, only passed basic 6. i started crying. i was worried what my dad would have to say and i was upset with myself bc i had been working so hard and i knew i knew everything. right now my private lessons coach is in hawaii. i really do not know what to do. please help? & i'd also like to say that when i asked my coach what skates to buy she didnt know..she had to ask the pro shop..and every week she teaches me the same thing in private lessons.. she never remembers, so i dont know what to do. should i call the rink and get reevaluated? should i fire my coach? i dont know what to do! but i have formed a bond with my coach shes like one of my friends..ughh help!

Good workout plan for someone training to be an Army Ranger?

I've got about a year to train up my body before I ship off to Basic at Ft. Benning.. I know that I should be worried about doing that first, but I'm going into this with an 11x option 40 contract, and I want to be as prepared for RASP as I can. My DH and I have been trying for 21 months to get pregnant with regular checks to make sure we are both healthy. We have been charting BBT and using OPKs. I got my positive OPK on cycle day 13 and we were BDing every night starting 5 days before until 4 days after Ovulation. At 5 DPO i had some lightly brown spotting. I am now 8 DPO and having very bad cramps and a tight feeling in my lower abdomen. I am also very tired, napping during the day with my son, and the sight of raw meat is making me nauseous. I wouldn't worry about it. I joined the Navy straight out of high school. I enjoyed hanging out with my friends when I was home on leave. I found that I was more "popular" when I was home. My friends were doing the same thing we did in high school. They were excited to hear about all the places I had been and the things that I got to do. Depending on what your job is in the Army, you will probably enjoy the break from the stress.

My husband is currently At Ft. Benning for his OSUT, he is in week 4. He had to have a bone scan done Wednesday June 8th, they think he has a stress factor to his right Shin. They told him he might have to take a 30 day leave then come back, the Drill Sgt's will have to talk and decided then if he will have to start back at week 1 or week 4. heyy, so im lost in terms of my relationship. im going to be 22 in exactly a month, my boyfriend is 20, going to be 21 in a few months. we have been together 18 months. overall, we have a good relationship. he works part-time, doesn't go to school - he blames that on his parents because they didn't mail his tuition. me, on the other hand, pay for my own tuition (partial out of my pocket, the rest student loan) and i take 16 credits, and work occasionally. i used to work about 15 - 40 hours a week but due to this sucky economy, (my company downsized) i work here and there and also babysit. mind you, i have done everything in my power to find a job, but thank god, im not suffering totally. now, my boyf complains how horrible his job is, and supposedly he has problems with evryone. well, he goes on an interview, gets A new job .. mind you this job is further than his current job, so it adds to his commute. yesterday, he gave his resignation letter to his job .. and today, he finds out the new job is only going to give him 7.5 - 10 HOURS A WEEK ! when he was working 24 - 28 HOURS A WEEK at his other job. he claims the lady didnt tell him this on the interview .. but i believe it was a misunderstanding ON HIS PART. im literally sick to my stomach. i know money isnt everything .. but it seems this isnt even fazing him. im young and i like to be treated like a princess, which he usually always took me out .. . and i would be totally understanding if he was out sick and he didnt have money (i would be at his side waiting on him hand and foot if that was the case) or if he company closed or his hours got decreased due to budget cuts, i would be completely supportive, but he wanted to work at this place so bad --- its upsetting to me because he made a joke about "i wonder how long its going to take me to finally see their morgue." .. ughh . any advice on how i should feel ?

Well, blood in general is high in iron, if I recall. However, the only type of 'cooked' blood product that I know people eat is blood sausage, and that is by European cultures, such as German, Italian, and English people. I do not know of any religions that discourage eating blood products. On a more personal note, I can not eat it because I know what black pudding is made of, and it does not appeal at all, but most of my friends are Scottish, and they enjoy it.

First off this is a long story,Buuut pls read? Here's an ex. So many things has happened to him. I dunno why. These stupid thoughts won't go away!! I hate them, I don't even know why they're here. Its also about me. They say im diagnosed with something and say i will die. If I see a knife i think about me stabbing myself. But i love myself and i would never do that, but it pops up in my head. There's this thought that always annoys me every time "Do you wanna die first or do you want your dad to?" I say me, becoz I love my dad soo much and i don't wanna be here without him. How do I STOP this. Whatever it is i just wanna (ughh!). I don't wanna let him know. I try to ignore.. I threat these thoughts. I tell them No, they come back with more. What are they? So I work at a company with a bunch of idiots. I work for a nitrogen plant as security and I sign drivers in and out. SO I have to deal with the monkeys that work for the company. I was following company procedure and even though I was, the monkey on the other end got crappy with me and told me not to ever do what I did again (long story-details irrelevant). SO then he calls back on the phone 5 minutes later to apologize because he knows I can file an incident report for him talking crazy to me. (I didn't because he didn't really curse at me and it was just irritating, not really an attack on me personally). SO he apologized and didn't seem to mean it and yet i'm supposed to be okay with this? And it'll probably happen again because we have a whole stack of incident reports against these monkeys. SO whats your opinion? Can you slap someone in the face and say sorry directly after? And while apologizing continue to say I was wrong and he was right? That's no apology. Ughh. I recently switched my internet provider from virgin to sky. went through the process of installing wireless broadband and also wired broadband around the house. My main desktop is working along with two other laptops in the house but my Hp pavillion home premium windows vista refuses to connect to the internet. it shows that its connected to the wireless broadband but the internet refuses to work. is it a hp thing or windows thing because anytime I change internet services, it refuses to work.i've tried turning off windows firewall, restarted the wireless and laptop several times. ughh i hate hp, they are useless i tell u. :(

Sun Poisoning questions?

I caught lyme's disease about 3 weeks ago (I'm off the medication as of sunday) and the medication I took said to stay out of the sun. During field day, my hands started to tingle so I went back inside. The tingling went away, but I was severely burned all over arms,face, and especially my hands and knuckles. The burns were so severe on my hands and knuckles that they're still here, although they have been enhanced with further exposure to the sun. They are now very itchy and I have small bumps in patches on my right hand below my 3rd index finger knuckle. I have scratched myself raw in 2 places on my fingers, but they are healing. Please give me some insight on this problem.

You still be able to get out of the Army contract; but I'd suggest you to talk with a Navy Recruiter before you go through with it. You need to be eligible and qualified before you can get a Navy EOD Challenge Contract, and I don't know how the Navy EOD's Interview Board would feel about this (getting out of Army contract).

im 11x, I ship out to fort benning georgia july 5th, my training is 14 weeks. after my training when I get stationed somewhere, what will I be doing? what will be my daily job?

UBER ULTRA EMERGENCY! Black bear or rabid Raccoon?!?

I live in PA. My friend and I went "Coon Watching" We put egg yolk (raw) cheese curls and bread together and went outside, flinging the food for the coons. We heard crackling raccoon chirps and bark breaking noises. We went inside to get cat food eggs and peanut butter. Then, my friend said she heard a raccoon panting on our left near the woods. (My house is in the middle of the woods, literally.) Then I heard scratching, as if something was crawling out of a tree. After that noise, we heard more panting and crawling on the ground. We decided it was a rabid coon and we ran inside. I know black bears climb and pant, but this seemed kind of like a cub and perhaps a mom. What you guys/gals think? Raccoon or black bear?? Do you think it is safe to go outside?

80% meat, 10% bone, 5% liver, 5% other organ meat (heart for the purpose of diet is meat not an organ) Rotating protein source is good, no need to do it daily but if you want to that is fine. No need for a supplements, no need for vegetables or pasta, limit raw eggs they can cause problems given in to large a quantity, no need to grind the bones feed whole edible bones it is better for the teeth and exercise for the jaws.

What is Infantry training going to be like at Fort Benning?

I chose infantry as my MOS yesterday and was wondering what we will mostly be doing at BCT? . Can anyone give me a good perspective on how things will be? Also I heard that BCT is a lot easier than what it use to be. Im not to happy about that because I like a challenge but if this is true, why is the Army making it easier? Thanks for the help

Okay well he is the complete opposite of guys I usually date. ANY IDEA ON 11B INFANTRY SCHOOL?

I will be reporting to Ft. Benning July for Infantry School, I am currently serving and I am a SPC in the medical field. I re-uped for it and just wanted to know how to prepare and what I will expect since I am prior service. i am not expecting them to treat all special n stuff i want ti to be hardcore and I am a student just like the guys coming in. Also will I have the opportunity to go Airborne or any type of school like that? and how do i go about that?

Question about Army OSUT?

You don't have two graduations. If I remember correctly you get a 36 hour pass when you hit where your BCT grad. should be. But there is no ceremony. I'm not 100% sure about that one though. When you do graduate OSUT you def. get a ceremony and a 36 hr. pass. It's called the Turning Blue ceremony, and you get your blue cords. After you graduate you have a certain amount of time to get to your next duty station. Now, if you're going Airborne, you go right from graduation to Airborne School, and you can get a pass for the weekend if you want. You can't leave during AB school, but it's pretty much a done at 1700 schedule for the first two weeks. And then your free after that. And unless you get 3rd ID, then you will not be stationed at Ft. Benning. If I correctly remember anything else I'll be sure to edit this answer.

I only got 2 depo shots and three months after the last one started to try to conceive. It's been over a year now, half the time spent getting my "cycle" every other week and half the time with no "cycle" at all but negative pregnancy tests. What are the chances of getting a convalescent 30 day leave from ARMY basic training?

My husband is currently @ Ft. Benning, GA doing his 14-week OSUT. He just called me tonight to let me know that he got the results of his bone scan he had Wednesday he has two stress fractures one in his right knee and the other in his right thigh. He said he wont be able to do any training for 30 days, and then 1-3 months of physical therapy, and that he will either get a 30 CONV. leave or they will find busy work for him to do for the 30 days. The DR. recommend he go home that he would not get the rest he needed there. He is waiting for it to be reviewed, do the SGT's (or who ever reviews it) take that into any consideration?

What's it like at Basic Training at Fort Benning in Georgia?

I'm going to training in a few days and I want to just see what I'm up against. The biggest worry I have is the weather, because even though Im pretty fit and I can run a lot, I feel like I'm going to die from heat exhaustion haha. Since it's in Georgia. And after the training, am I going to be somewhat ripped? haha That's of course not why I'm going but it's always a plus. I'd figure since you do a lot of running, push ups sit ups and other activities.

trust me dont touch it or anything, take a jug and fill it up with water and put it in the freezer for 30, dip your face in it as long as you can bare, the put a wash clothe in a pot of water that is just about to boil. take the wash cloth out and dont put on you face until its cool enouh beacause it wil be hot, put it on you face until it gets cold. then take the water ( that should be boiling ) and put it in a bowl, steam your face or 5 minutes the relax, for 10 min and dip yoour face in the cold water a gain an let you fface realax dont touch it!

What if i went to basic training without physical training?

I am a fit 21 year old man and am familiar with exercise. However I have not been seriously excercising for a while and my muscles are not strong right now but I can run a good distance without being tired. My legs are kind of weak and give out though. I can do over 20 pushups and 45 situps but I would probly be sore afterwards. I feel like am going crazy!!!!?

to make a long story shorttt. last week on thursday i felt this weird sensation kind of like goosebump feeling on the right side of my head. i felt it twice then in a matter of minutes the right side of my face underneath my eyes my cheek felt tingly. my right ear was hot and red. then couple of hours later my neck and throat started to feel tingly and so did my right arm. i went to the doc the next day explained what happened and she thinks its stress and tension because ive also been having minor random pain on the left side of my head. that comes and goes. this past weekend i couldnt eat anything because i felt nervous all day. i would cry randomly especially when i would think of my husband because hes training at fort benning for the army. ive been feeling nervous these past few days because i dont know what is going on with me. the doc had my blood drawn and am waiting on results. today i started feeling this weird funny sensation all over my body. my face my head my arms my legs my fingers my shoulders my armpits including my eyes! my lips started to feel this sensation and then it started to burn. my legs have been feeling funny like when you get nervous. and now this sensation is startin to burn on my arms and shoulders and its getting itchy! my sister in law thinks i have anxiety. when i explained to the doctor the second time i saw her when i went to get my blood drawn i explained that i was feeling nervous and that i was crying she told me to call a psychiatrist because i may have anxiety! i only get a peace of mind when im going to sleep i wake up and start thinking about what could possibly be wrong wit me and my body starts feeling this funny tingly sensation that now burns! what is going on!?! am really freaking out!!! help please!!

I'm going to Ft. Benning for family day next month. I was wondering, what can I expect? Do I need to bring anything and how should I dress? Also, is Fort Benning and the surrounding area safe? How to deal with an arrogant kid?

Im tutoring this kid and he's so arrogant. He believes he's a genuis. In fact, he believes he knows more in math than I do.
